The BC24 is a Canadian-built stereo power amplifier featuring a hybrid design that combines a pair of 6922 vacuum tubes in the input stage with a solid-state output stage. Designed by Gilbert Yeung, it marries the tonal character of tube amplification with the drive and bass control of transistor-based output circuitry.
Rated at 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 100 watts per channel into 4 ohms, the BC24 delivers a spacious presentation, articulate high frequencies, and well-controlled, full-bodied bass. Its dynamic and rhythmic character makes it particularly engaging with rock, pop, and vocal recordings, while its generous soundstage and natural midrange bring depth and presence to a wide range of music.
Hand-built in Ontario, the BC24 features a stainless-steel front panel, a compact black chassis, and Blue Circle's distinctive illuminated logo. Its accessible 6922 tubes also allow for tube rolling, offering the opportunity to tailor its sonic character to personal preference.
A distinctive hybrid amplifier from a Canadian boutique audio manufacturer, it's an appealing alternative to conventional all-tube or solid-state designs and a cool piece of their history to boot.
Comes with generic power cable.
