Cambridge Audio CXC – Precision CD Transport
Unlock every detail.
The Cambridge Audio CXC is a precision-engineered CD transport designed for exceptional digital playback. Paired with a high-quality external DAC or DAC-equipped amplifier, it brings your CD collection to life with outstanding clarity, accuracy, and musical detail.
Pure Purpose, Perfect Performance
CXC is built with a singular focus: to read the digital audio from your CDs with exceptional accuracy. Every component has been carefully selected and engineered to perform with precision, preserving the integrity of the digital signal before it reaches your DAC. The result is a clean, accurate foundation for exceptional CD playback.
Precision Driving – S3 Servo
At the heart of the CXC is Cambridge Audio's renowned S3 Servo disc drive. Designed specifically for audio playback, this precision mechanism controls disc rotation and data retrieval to accurately read the information stored on your CDs. Its dedicated design helps deliver consistent performance from your music collection.
Physical Perfection
The CXC features an acoustically dampened metal chassis designed to minimize unwanted vibration and interference. Both coaxial and optical S/PDIF digital outputs provide flexible connectivity to an external DAC or DAC-equipped amplifier, allowing the CXC to integrate easily into a high-quality hi-fi system.
Timeless Design, Lasting Performance
Designed to stand the test of time, the CXC combines Cambridge Audio's precision-engineered S3 Servo mechanism with a minimalist aluminium and steel construction. Its understated styling complements a wide range of audio systems, while its dedicated CD transport design ensures your disc collection remains at the heart of your listening experience for years to come.
Connectivity & System Matching
The CXC is a dedicated CD transport, meaning it does not contain a built-in digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). It must be connected to an external DAC or an amplifier with a compatible digital input. With both coaxial and optical S/PDIF outputs, the CXC is an excellent companion for Cambridge Audio electronics and other high-quality digital audio systems.
