The Cobra ZiTron was Shunyata's entry point into its patented ZiTron cable technology, offering many of the company's flagship cable design principles at a more accessible price. It uses Shunyata's high-purity CDA 101 copper conductors and cryogenic treatment, with a substantial 10-gauge conductor complement.
ZiTron technology was designed to reduce dielectric distortion and improve the integrity of the electrical signal, while the Cobra's heavy-gauge construction provides excellent current-handling capability. Shunyata designed the Cobra for use with virtually any component, from source equipment and preamps to high-current amplifiers and power distributors.
The Cobra ZiTron received The Absolute Sound Editors' Choice award in both 2013 and 2014.
